Anna

  • BORN IN: *Technically*I was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, but I hail from the city of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
  • COLLEGE: Ohio Wesleyan University.
  • CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Surviving a summer as an Orientation Coordinator at my beloved alma mater.
  • FAVORITE MEMORY AS A KID: Jammin’ to Oasis in the car with my dad and Dewey Beach vacations with my extended family.
  • IN MY SPARE TIME: I’m likely reading, running, spending time with friends and family, listening to music or researching whatever incredibly specific topic has my attention at the moment (right now, it’s higher education policy).
  • MY GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT IS: Developing a running habit during 2020 after gyms closed. I even ran a quarter marathon (6.55 miles) in April 2021.
  • FAVORITE FOODS: I could eat tacos every day of my life. Big fan of Lebanese food, pasta and Chinese takeout, too. Also, I firmly believe brunch is the most important meal of the day.
  • FAVORITE MOVIES: Rocky, Lady Bird, Pretty Woman, School of Rock, The Internship.
  • FAVORITE BANDS: I’m willing to bet I know the words to every song U2 ever wrote.I also loveArcade Fire, Oasis, The Smiths, Car Seat Headrest, New Order and Interpol.
  • BEST CONCERT EVER ATTENDED: U2 on the Joshua Tree 30th Anniversary tour. Not only is it the coolest concert I ever saw, it may just be the coolest thing I ever saw, period.
  • SPECIAL TALENTS: I love to cook, and I’m especially skilled in whipping up something out of odds and ends in my pantry and freezer. I’ve recently discovered a knack for charcuterie boards. I credit all the Food Network I watched growing up.
  • A QUOTE I LOVE: “This is what the past is for! Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see.” – Corrie ten Boom
  • REALLY FUN FACT: I share my birthday (June 30, 1997) with what some historians consider the official end of the British Empire — the transfer of Hong Kong from Britain to China. It’s also my aunt and uncle’s wedding anniversary, so that’s pretty neat.
