We Want What You’ve Got.

As you may have noticed, Facebook for Business now offers a “Services” feature to showcase exactly what your business or practice offers. This feature is displayed as both a tab at the top of the page, and a list at the top right-hand side of your page’s feed.

We LOVE this feature, and think you should, too! It allows both current and potential customers or patients to get a full understanding of what you can offer them. It encourages new visitors to schedule that initial appointment, or previous visitors to try something new.

To check out this feature for yourself, head to your Facebook for Business page. Click on the “Services” tab at the top of the page, and add away! Once you are finished adding all of the services you want you highlight, make sure you click “Publish” on the left-hand side of the page. Then, head back to your page feed and see your new list of services.

Initially, you may be frustrated that the description for each service only allows room for a mere 200 words, but don’t fret! This short description will draw visitors in and encourage them to visit your website or give you a call if they want more details.

Don’t see a “Services” tab on your page? This is an easy fix! You need to make sure your page is categorized properly. Head to your page’s “About” section and check out the “Page Info.” If you fall into the category of a local business, be sure to make the subcategory even more specific about what you do.

For example, if you are a local construction company, your main category should read “Local Businesses” and your subcategory should read “Home Improvement.” If you are a local dentist, your main category should read “Local Businesses” and your subcategory should read “Health/Medical/Pharmacy.” Once you’ve made these changes, the “Services” tab should appear!

We encourage any business or practice to utilize the “Services” feature on their Facebook page. It gives Facebook users the essential information they need as soon as they visit your page.
