DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

The SEO and PPC teams at Whiteboard Marketing are responsible for driving organic and paid traffic for all clientele. In this role, you’ll be working closely with both teams and other departments to ensure continued growth.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Search Marketing Manager will define, implement, and manage the SEO and PPC strategy for Whiteboard Marketing’s general niche dental clients. This position will report to the Managing Director. They will own the vision, strategy and roadmap for the SEO and PPC departments and supervise the work that falls under this purview.

ALL-ENCOMPASSING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish clear performance indicators and deliver Executive Leadership updates
  • Be the in-house expert on SEO and PPC, monitoring trends on best practices and any changes in the search space
  • Proactively provide analytics and key findings for the team and company as a whole
  • Help the COO define SEO and PPC best practices and operating structure for Whiteboard Marketing
  • Be the in-house expert in Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
  • Manage the implementation of CallRail, Google Data Studio and Google AdsEditor
  • Correctly implement UTM and campaign management tools in an analytics platform
  • Be comfortable driving marketing programs, measuring, testing and reporting on results and owning your own tasks
  • Be an adept multitasker who is able to pivot quickly between tasks and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Have a strong instinct to take initiative and solve problems as they arise
  • Set team strategy and goals; demonstrated ability to establish functional KPIs
SEO RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess and decide what SEO work should be done for a client in a given work period
  • Be the expert in how our SEO tools are used to deliver results for the company
  • Help the Sales and Account team assess SEO solutions/offerings and control scope
  • Train and assist the team in completing SEO work
  • Guide content to ensure it is engaging and shareable; recommend content approaches to gain natural attribution from authority sites
  • Develop and implement creative link acquisition strategies
  • Collaborate on the strategy and approach for PR and social
  • Identify and evaluate acquisitions to improve the SEO footprint
  • Perform competitive research and opportunity analysis for the company
PPC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage paid campaigns in Google and Bing
  • Create ads that drive leads and landing pages that drive conversions
  • Test, analyze, and make recommendations based on performance and budget
  • Leverage Unbounce and other landing page creation software
  • Manage freelancers in the search and paid marketing space
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Marketing, Business Administration; Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics)
  • GAIQ (Google Analytics Individual Qualification) Certified
  • Working knowledge of UTMs
  • 5+ years’ experience in an SEO consumer acquisition role, 3+ years of experience managing paid search campaigns in Google Ads and Bing
  • Experience partnering with senior executives
  • Experience developing, coordinating & executing demand generation plans, programs, and campaigns
  • Proven track record of taking ownership, thinking strategically, and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll-up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Strong background in web analytics, including expertise in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager Experience in WordPress, FTP, PBHS, Joomla, and Prosites websites
  • Advanced knowledge of web design principles and technologies, and their SEO implications, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • People and program management skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
  • Familiarity with growth and optimization strategies for heavily trafficked websites
